If I allow same day appointments, can I still require hours notice?
Staff members can book for any available time, past, present or future, through the Appointment Grid. You can allow customers to book same day appointments through the Customer View.
CLICK: Settings > Appointments > Preference #5 > Allow same day appointments
If you set this preference to allow same day appointments, you can still set specific hours limitations. For example, if you allow same day appointments but want to make sure that any appointments booked by customers still require at least 4 hours notice, this can be done. Once you set Appointment preference #5 to "allow same day appointments", a new field will be enabled in the profile for each staff member. This new field is called "Same Day Appt Notice."
CLICK: Staff Members > Select the Staff Member > Set hours in Profile Information
You can set this by hours for each separate staff member.
Same day appointment notice only pertains to customers booking appointments through the Customer View.

Chris – An advanced setting is available that will enable the ability to designate how far in advance and how many days from the current day each access type can schedule for a given staff member. Please contact our support department for more information about how this feature can be enabled on your account.

We have had a few issues with the front desk scheduling appoints that don't allow staff (students) enough time since it doesn't take the same day appt notice buffer into consideration. Is there a simple fix? Thanks.
